Charles Edward Aukamp May 22, 1930 - June 16, 2024 MACON - Charles Edward Aukamp, 94, of Macon, IL, passed away on Sunday, June 16, 2024. A service to honor Charles' life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 21, 2024, at Calvert & Wikoff Funeral Home, Macon. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation one hour prior to the service. Charles will be laid to rest in South Macon Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church. Charles was born on May 22, 1930, in Boody, IL, the son of Edward and Dena (Schlingman) Aukamp. He married Mary A. Kramer on October 3, 1954. Charles was very proud of his military service with the United States Army during the Korean War. He retired from Firestone after more than 30 years of service. Charles was a member of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church. He had a keen interest in WWII aviation, he was an avid reader and kept his yard and vehicles immaculate. Charles' greatest love was for his wife
