Sandra Kay Schreiner April 29, 1941 - June 19, 2024 MOUNT ZION - Sandra Kay Schreiner, 83, passed away at her home, surrounded by her children on June 19, 2024, in Mt. Zion, IL. Sandra was born on April 29, 1941, at St. Ansgar Hospital, Moorhead, MN, the daughter of Archie and Hazel (Qualley) Askegaard. She attended elementary and junior high school in Comstock, and graduated from Barnesville High School, in 1959. She then attended St. Ansgar Hospital of Radiologic Technology graduating in 1961. She worked as a technologist for St. Ansgar Hospital, Moorhead, Fargo Clinic/St. Luke's Hospital, Fargo ND and at St. Mary's Hospital, Decatur, IL. She married Thomas Schreiner on September 2, 1961, at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, Dilworth, MN. They began their life together in Moorhead, MN. During this time, they celebrated the birth of four children, Darrin (Lori) Schreiner, Kimberly Schreiner, Shelly Carey, and Dean (Tena) Schreiner.
