Martin Gerald Mooney October 29, 1942 - June 19, 2024 WARRENSBURG - Martin Gerald Mooney, 81, of Warrensburg, IL, passed away Wednesday, June 19, 2024, surrounded by his family. Mass of Christian Burial will be 1:00 PM, Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Decatur, with Father Michael Friedel, celebrant. Visitation will be 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM (noon), Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur. Burial will be in Illini Cemetery, Warrensburg, IL, with military honors by U.S. Army National Guard and Macon County Honor Guard. Memorials in Martin's honor may be made to Tunnel to Towers Foundation. Martin was born October 29, 1942, at the family farm, south of Latham, the son of John T. and Frances M. (Roberta) Mooney. He married Susan Stoddard on September 15, 1962, at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Decatur. Martin proudly served our country in the U.S. Army National Guard.
