Bonni (Swift) Hugo January 17, 1938 - June 8, 2024 DECATUR - Bonni (Swift) Hugo, 86, of Decatur, IL, died at her home on June 8, 2024, surrounded by her family. Bonni was born in Fort Wayne, IN, on January 17, 1938, to Bayless and Anna (Henry) Swift. Later moving to Decatur, she attended St. Thomas Grade and graduated from St. Teresa High, class of 1956. In July 1963, Bonni married Robert "Bob" Hugo of Decatur, IL, and the two shared five children. Bonni was a dedicated mother to all five, actively involved in their lives. A devoted Catholic, she volunteered at St. James Church in the 80s, serving as Athletic Director. She continued to volunteer when she joined St. Thomas Parish in the 90s. She also actively volunteered in the community, serving as Umpire Coordinator for Decatur Pony & Khoury Leagues for ten years.
