Cecil Eugene Reynolds January 1, 1940 - June 13, 2024 WELDON - Cecil Eugene "Sonny" Reynolds of Weldon passed into his heavenly home on June 13, 2024. Sonny was born on January 1, 1940, in Champaign to Cecil and Norma (Orcutt) Reynolds. He was the oldest of the four siblings, and is survived by Rev. Ronald (Jeanne) Reynolds of Vandalia, OH, Cheryl (Donald) McClain of Urbana, and Melinda (Peter) Del Mastro of Deland. He is survived by his children: William (Tamara) Gantz and Debora (David) Huisinga, both of Monticello. He is also survived by grandchildren: Brandi (Ryan) Arnold of Monticello, Michael (Maleah) Huisinga of McCalla, AL, Nicholas (Bernice) Huisinga of Vernon Hills, and Mitchell Huisinga of St Louis, MO., and three great-grandchildren. Sonny graduated from Urbana H.S. in 1958. In his younger years he was a golf caddy at the Champaign Country Club and worked at the Urbana Airport, where he enjoyed flying airplanes and had a private pilot's license for several years.
