Reno L. Blackshire April 12, 1934 - August 16, 2024 MOUNT ZION - Reno L. Blackshire, 90, of Mt. Zion, moved to heaven on Friday, August 16, 2024, in his home. Reno was born April 12, 1934, in Island Branch, WV, the son of Marshall and Maggie Whitaker. He was the only boy with seven sisters. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1953-1955 in Japan and Korea. Reno was a quality control specialist at Caterpillar, retiring after thirty-eight years of service. Papa loved the Lord and served as a deacon and Sunday school teacher. If he were here, he would tell you how he loved the wind in his hair as he would ride his motorcycle down those roads. Reno was married to Beverly Starwalt. She preceded him in death. He then married Barbara (Hawn) Krutsinger. Reno will be dearly missed by his wife, Barbara; children: Toni (Roger) Shelton, Kris (Brian) Hague, Rena (Jeff) Peters, Denny (Kristina) Blackshire, Robin Niehaus, Kim Comparetto, and Krystal (John) Baer; fourteen grandchildr
