Funeral services will be 12:00 PM, Thursday, August 22, 2024, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, with visitation from 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home. Entombment will be at Star of Hope Mausoleum in Graceland Cemetery, Decatur, IL. Memorials in Larry's honor may be made to: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Larry was born June 4, 1950, in Bloomington, IL, the son of Robert Lee and Margaret A. (Smith) Gooding. He was a Union Pipefitter/Plumber and Business Manager for Local #65 and a Business Agent for Local #137. He enjoyed promoting his trade to the youth. Larry sat on local boards for many years.
