Shirley Ann Schaefer June 10, 1946 - August 21, 2024 DECATUR - Shirley Ann Schaefer, 78, of Decatur, IL, passed away on Wednesday, August 21, 2024. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Monday at Calvert & Wikoff North Chapel with a vigil prayer service beginning at 7:00 p.m.. Shirley will be laid to rest at Camp Butler National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to Logan Taylor Education Fund. Shirley was born on June 10, 1946, in Harvey, ND, the daughter of Emil and Rose (Heintz) Martin. She married Paul LeRoy Schaefer on October 18, 1968. Shirley retired in 2014 from JC Penney as an associate after 26-and-a-half years of service. Family was the most important thing to Shirley.
