Wanda Jane Stickles August 13, 1929 - August 21, 2024 DECATUR - Wanda Jane Stickles, 95, of Decatur, IL, passed away on Wednesday, August 21, 2024. A service to honor Wanda's life will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 29, 2024, at Calvert & Wikoff North Chapel. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. on Thursday. Wanda will be laid to rest in Salem Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to Alzheimer's Association. Wanda was born on August 13, 1929, in Decatur, IL, the daughter of Ted D. and Gertrude (Coppenbarger) Gandy. She married John T. Stickles, Jr. on February 21, 1948. Wanda retired from Magna Bank after cooking in the employee cafeteria for many years. She was a long-time member of Salem Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for teenagers and adults. She also organized the Sunbeams and Girls Auxiliary and their activities. Wanda LOVED to bake!! Her countless dozens of cookies nourished everyone
